Love Letters From Dad to Mom II

Hello Sweetheart - I've read half of your Friday letter - let me answer what I've read.

By when you read this, you knew that you changed my mind, so that if you want the wedding in the evening, I want it then, too, because you want it then, no other reason, and I won't mind if there's a crowd.

And I do love you - before last night, I felt you loved me more, and I couldn't love you as much -

but now I can love you just as much as you'll ever love me. If you'll consent to own me, then I can be your own, and I'll love you with all my love, and no matter how much you love me, I'll love you as much.

That's the answer to your prayer, Connie - if you're my owner and I belong to you, I will love you as much or more than you love me.

I know my parents, inside and out, because I've got each of their

personalities built into me, and they torment me at times, I know them because I see where I've been like them, and I don't like it, so I can't just look at them without feeling it inside sometimes, but I don't say anything to them and we get along good. Enough of that -

as for the evening, again, I love you more, because you changed my mind, - you didn't

bargain or bribe me into it - it's just that because you wanted it then, I do too. Free. No charge to you.

you'll have to see if you can get the church though I don't know anything about it - right? Can we have it the 27th evening? You knew I don't know about getting the church? Dick talked to them, and he can see.

I'll ask dad about getting

a loan on the car - let's do some figuring Connie - I have 250 now, and I'll save another 50 by then, so that's 300. It will take all of that for me to get home, pay some expenses for the wedding, and then to pay for both of us to take 8 or so days to get here - how do you figure it?
at $15 a day, that's
$4 a day room, $3 each, meals,
$5 for this 'n that - do you think
so?
