THE BOB & THE BEACHCOMBERS WING OF THE MUSEUM OF ROCK & ROLL HISTORY

1995 - 1997
Bob & the Beachcombers

With four theme party shows, including the original "Beach Party Summertime Fun" format, the "Rock & Roll High School" and "Saturday Night Cruise" fifties shows, and the "Motown Magic" revue, along with a return to Valleyfair scheduled for the summer of 1995, the future never looked brighter for Bob & the Beachcombers.

Nevertheless, Dick Erickson left the group to devote full time to the "Teddy Bear Band" and Bill Quirk retired from beachcombin' to pursue a lucrative future in mattress and used car sales. Taking his place on guitar was Steve "Moondoggy" Fuller, and Daryl Eastburg, brought his sax, bass guitar, vocals, showmanship and style to the beach party show.
THE RETURN TO

Bob & the Beachcombers joined forces with "The Amazing Dexter" and returned to the Valleyfair stage with a new original show entitled, "Summer Magic"! "The Amazing Dexter" was a talented magician with a flair for startling illusions and mystifying magic. He and his lovely assistant Susie were featured on several major illusions, including "The Twister", "The Dextercise Machine", and the unbelievable "Amazing Trunk Escape".
