The Radiants
 | | | "Bill Haley & the Comets" started things off in 1955 with "Rock Around the Clock" and artists such as Elvis, Little Richard, Pat Boone, Chuck Berry, the Platters and the Penguins were selling records and attracting enthusiastic crowds nationally during the early years of rock & roll. In Minnesota and the Midwest, groups such as "The Radiants", "Damon Lee & the Diablos", the "Ricochets" and Kay Bee recording artists "Jerry Roberts & the Toppers" were packing the ballrooms around the Twin Cities and througout the north country. We don't have a lot of information about the Radiants, but it's a cool
picture, and they've got neat
guitars, a spiffy sparkle drum set, and great hair with that
classic 50's look.
Besides,
my mother managed the group,
and that's reason enough to
include "The Radiants" on this
rock & roll history page!
