THE BOB & THE BEACHCOMBERS WING OF THE MUSEUM OF ROCK & ROLL HISTORY

The 2009 Rockin the 60's & Surfin' the 70's Tour!
Bob & the Beachcombers

In 2008 and 2009, the national economy nose-dived and entertainment budgets were cut for public events, private parties, county fairs, and city celebrations throughout the Midwest. But even though the first six months were slower than usual, the summer of 2009 is looking like it might just be one of our best in years.

Our "Minnesotaville!" song began getting airplay on Minnesota and South Dakota radio stations and e-mails and phone calls came in from as far away as Illinois and Texas requesting MP3's and CD's. We followed up our first song with a parody of another super Jimmy Buffet hit, that we called, "Why Don't We Get Drunk & Fish?".

The Beachcombers continued to focus on classic 60's beach party music and fun while adding many new chart-topping dance songs of the 70's to our set lists. Meanwhile, return engagements at top area casinos such as the Dakota Sioux in Watertown, SD, Diamond Jo's in Northwood, IA, and the Shooting Star in Manohman, introduce the "Minnesotaville" brand of beach party summertime fun to people throughout the Midwest.

As we make our way through the long dark nights and bitter cold of winter in the Midwest, keep "Bob & the Beachcombers" in mind at all times. Surf through our web site, check out the new photo gallery, and watch our new video promo. Better yet, book a winter or summer beach party show of your own and feel warmer almost immediately. But don't worry - that's not global warming. It's the awesome power of beach party summertime fun, and only Bob & the Beachcombers have it.
