THE BOB & THE BEACHCOMBERS WING OF THE MUSEUM OF ROCK & ROLL HISTORY

The 2010 CD Release Party Tour!
Bob & the Beachcombers
Minnesotaville Tour
In June of 2009 the Beachcombers completed their work on their "Welcome to Minnesotaville!" recording project, laying down tracks to seven parodies of favorite Jimmy Buffett songs with original lyrics that told the story of Minnesotaville in a way that had never been done before. Within a few months, orders were coming in from across America from expatriated Minnesotans and fans of the Minnesota way of life throughout the United States.

The "Minnesotaville" CDs were available online as well as for sale at eight regional "Love From Minnesota" retail stores and Gander Mountain. By March 1st, nearly all of the first 1,000 CDs had been sold and an order was placed for another thousand as the Beachcombers head towards another Minnesotaville summer of beach party music and fun.
Meanwhile, two more Buffet parodies were completed based on the songs "Last Mango in Paris" and "A Pirate Looks at 40" and posted on YouTube as "The Ballad of Jason Davis (The Last Muskie in Brainerd)" and "Brett Favre Looks at 40". The band is working on several new songs for a second CD they hope to record before summer.

In recognition of the excitement and success we have had with our "Welcome to Minnesotaville!" show and CD, we have titled our 2010 tour as "The 2010 CD Release Party Tour". And the start of the 2010 tour officially got under way with a special performance on behalf of the "Minnesota Fishing Museum" in Little Falls, Minnesota, on February 19th. 2010 could very well be the biggest and most successful year for "Bob & the Beachcombers" yet!
